About us
| Elcombe Firewood is based in the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside on the edge of the Cotswolds, just south of Stroud, where my family has farmed for three generations. Everyone working in the business lives locally, which means we know our way around the lanes and villages where you live.
We deliver within a 15 mile radius of home, because we want to provide a friendly, reliable and local service. We are careful to make sure that all the wood we sell is from sustainable sources and is good quality hardwood, which will burn well. Our customers tell us that what they want is good, dry wood, which is why we guarantee a maximum moisture content. We have moisture meters with us on our deliveries if you would like us to prove it! We don’t have someone sat beside the phone all the time, sometimes we can’t pick up the phone because we’re driving and sometimes there’s simply no mobile signal where we are. All of which means that when you ring us there’s a chance you may reach our voicemail. Please don’t give up! We ALWAYS return calls as soon as we can (just leave us a phone number to call).
